Creative Crocheted Plant Hanger!

Whether you live in a small apartment and just need more room for plants, or you live in a large house and just need a new wall decor item, the free crochet pattern for this wall plant hanger could be just the ticket for you!

The following supplies will be needed for this project. As noted, large wooden beads are optional, but would really add a nice touch if you decided to use them!

  • Bernat Home Dec Yarn, or similar Bulky Level 5 yarn made of cotton/acrylic and nylon.
  • size N/10 crochet hook
  • large eye sewing needle
  • stitch markers
  • 2.5 inch wooden ring (one per hanger)
  • 1.5 inch wooden ring (one per hanger)
  • large wooden beads (optional)

Techniques that you will need to know (or learn) for this project include the following. Note that instructions are provided in the pattern itself for the last one listed here, two double crochet together.

  • hain (CH)
  • Skip (SK)
  • Slip Stitch (SL ST)
  • Single Crochet (SC)
  • Half Double Crochet (HDC)
  • Two Double Crochet Together (2DCT)

The finished project, prior to hanging it, measures approximately 8 inches wide x 10 inches tall.

The finished container should be sufficient size to hold a 3×4 inch or 4×4 inch round plant pot containing a plant.
