If you normally decorate your house for Halloween, here’s a great crochet project for this one-of-a-kind wreath, made just for Halloween! If you don’t normally decorate for Halloween, this one would be a great one to start with.
For the wreath part, what you do is crochet three long spirals, each in differing colors, and then wrap them around a wire frame. Links to all of the needed supplies are included with the pattern, in case you don’t have them on-hand.
Although various colors of Red Heart Super Saver are needed for this project, any worsted weight yarn would work, and you can, of course, even substitute some colors for others, depending on personal preference.
The finished wreath size is approximately 19 inches, making it the perfect size to display on the outside of your front door for all of the trick-or-treaters to see, or any other place you want to display it.
There are some special stitches required for this pattern, and detailed instructions for all of them are included in the pattern.
Complete instructions are also included for crocheting the web in the middle of the wreath, the witch hat and hat band, the hat buckle, the pumpkin and stem, the pumpkin vine, and, of course, the not-so-spooky spider!
I do hope you get a chance to work up one of these, and Happy Crocheting!
