Although these small pumpkins look as though they were knitted, they actually are crocheted!
I have always preferred the appearance of the stitches of knitted items over that of crocheted items, although I personally much prefer to crochet over doing knitting. I gave up knitting quite a few years ago.
A finished pumpkin measures approximately 3 inches wide by 2 inches tall when the pattern is followed, although you can easily customize them to make different sizes simply by changing out the hook that you use for a smaller or larger one than the one recommended in the pattern, or by using a different yarn than the Aran type yarn recommended in the pattern.
These pumpkins even work up great with a bulky yarn, if you want larger pumpkins.
There are plenty of pictures that are presented within the pattern which are very helpful. I do hope you give this one a try sometime!
