This is such a fun crochet pattern to make for St. Patrick’s Day, particularly because it is a free crochet pattern and includes a downloadable/printable pdf!
The bright colors and intricate details make it a great project for people of all skill levels. Plus, it’s a great way to show off your Irish pride for the upcoming holiday!
If you are like me and try to crochet a holiday decoration for each holiday of the year, make this year that Darby (the cat) and Gerald (the bird) are born!
I think my favorite thing about Darby is his gorgeous gold eyes! There is a store on Etsy called 6060 that you can find them at (this is not an affiliate link). There is always something amazing about her animal eyes! It was also from her shop that Gerald’s nose and his eyes came.
Instructions are provided in the free pattern for all parts of the cat, all parts of the hat, and the birdy.
