I categorize this particular pattern into the “vintage” category because it truly is a vintage pattern that was originally posted in the Doily Bouquet Star Book 71 by American Thread Company in 1950.
This is a great scrap thread buster project for those of you who have lots of different colors of small amounts of scrap doily thread. Basically any color combinations you can come up with would be absolutely beautiful!
Although the pattern calls for Size 30 doily thread, the standard Size 10 doily thread that most of us crocheters tend to have would also work wonderfully!
When using Size 30 thread, the finished doily measures approximately 9 inches across. If you do choose to use Size 10 thread, your finished doily will be somewhat larger than 9 inches.
